    3. I have taken information re Conyngham/Cunningham, wireworkers at Bridgefoot St from the new 1801 directory.. Could anyone tell me which Catholic churches and cemeteries might be in the vicinity and, if convenient, whereabouts of any related BDM records for plus/minus 1800. Frank Murray Canberra Australia

    3. There are no civil Birth, Death, Marriage records for around 1800 - sorry. Civil registration only began in Ireland in 1845 for non-Catholic marriages, and for all other marriages, and all births and deaths in 1864. Bridgefoot St runs north from Thomas St to Usher's Quay on the river Liffey. This is quite a densely populated area so there are several churches nearby. I think the two nearest churches are St. Paul's, Arran Quay and St. Audoen's, Cornmarket. If you can find out what parish Bridgefoot St is in, you might just possibly be able to access parish records for baptisms, marriages and less likely, burials in that area. >Bridgefoot St< Debby Raymond, Queensland, Australia
