    1. Re: [DUBLIN-CITY] Probate Records
    2. Joyce
    3. Dianna I had a look on the National Probate Calendar for UK and no sign of your Robert Woodworth there. These records are available from 1858. I also had a look at the 1861 UK Census. Could Robert have fallen on hard times or been ill? There is an "R.W." recorded in the Clifton Union Workhouse, Gloucestershire in 1861 census, born in Ireland and aged 77. Maybe this is your Robert who died after 1861 Census was taken. This seems to be the registration of the death of "R.W." - Name: WOODWARD, Robert Registration district: Clifton County: Gloucestershire Year of registration: 1861 Quarter of registration: Apr-May-Jun Volume no: 6A Page no: 109 It might be worth taking a look at this one, as the R.W. in the Workhouse would seem to have been a Robert Woodward. Do let us know if this turns out to be your "man" Good luck Joyce > Hi Everyone > Could someone please let me know where I could find a possible > Will/Probate record for a Robert WOODWORTH he was born in Dublin around > 1784, appears on the 1841 and 1851 Census in Bristol (UK). I ask as it would perhaps help someone answer yours if we knew a little more, e.g. about what dates, perhaps a note of their religion etc. Even a known event to do with the Heeney family would be a starting point. 3. Hi yvonne, Have you got Johns death and marriage certificates? That should give his birthplace - at least County and if you're lucky a town. His birthplace will also be shown on his childrens birth certificates. I found on my grandmothers Victorian birth certificate that her mother was born "in Clontarf, a village just outside Dublin". His death certificate will also show how long in the colony, which I have found to be very accurate and ages at death to be wrong in most cases. If he was from England then censuses should help. 3. Thanks Joyce. I hadn't heard that the registers were being added. That is a great addition. The neat thing about the Prison Registers as opposed to the Petty Court records is that they have an age and estimated birth year. With Petty Court records, you often have no idea if this is just the "same name". 3. Hi Everyone I'm going to have another crack at my Woodworth research after going through my notes. The above (spelt this way) Wynford/Winfred/Wynne WOODWORTH married Anne Roland in Ireland in 1830. This from the Irish Records Extraction Database, they were married in the Diocese of Cork and Ross Co. Cork Ireland. I'm hoping that this bit of information leads to the birth of the above who maybe the son of My Rosetta (BYRNE ) Woodworth and her husband Robert who was born c 1781 Dublin Robert appears on the 1841 Census (and others) in Bristol (Gloucestershire) England a widow. Roberts children were Rachel b 1816, Joshua b 1815, Robert b 1819 and Wynford ? all born in Dublin. Hoping someone can help find any births/baptisms of these children of Robert Woodworth. Kindest regards Dianna

Someone else suggested it could be that the couple were 2nd cousins, but I have seen "tres disp" in lots of other marriages too, so am now inclined to think that it DOES mean that the banns were called 3 times. I will do as you suggest, and check the date of the marriage. Thanks very much for your help.
