Hi Listers, While I was looking in the marriage index for Jessie Williams marriage to David Percy Robinson, I found a marriage for my great aunt Igy (Irene Geraldine Williams). This was a huge surprise because we didn't know she was married in Ireland. I found the entry in the quarter ended Sep 30 1902, vol 2 p. 651 Dublin South. The question is, who did she marry and how can I find out? I know that there will be four if not eight others on the same page, and the GRO says you must have both names to order the certificate. Igy came to Canada sometime between 1912-1918, settled in Winnipeg and married (?) Samuel Budd. I haven't been able to find her immigration records yet, or a marriage in Winnipeg. Any ideas/suggestions will be appreciated!! Cheers, Judy in Alberta
Many thanks Anthony for the input on Anne Cottages. I would presume my grandfather was renting the cottage. I will try and give the links you mention a go. We are fine, glad you enjoyed the English 'summer'! Even where I live in Staffordshire the floods have been horrendous. May I suggest a trip to the doctors to check for webbed feet ! <grin> Regards, Michael ----- Original Message ----- From: "Anthony J. Anthony Hi, Thanks so much for your reply and for finding the house address for David P in your directory! I will follow up with a search of the 1911 census for sure. Hi All, I'm trying to find more about the ROBINSON/WILLIAMS branch of my family. Jessie Ida Williams, b June 1884 in Rathdown Dublin married David Percy Robinson April 1906 in Rathfarnham Parish. On their marriage certificate Jessie was living at 19 Leinster Sq and David at 16 Green Mount Rd. The couple had 2 boys, "Billy & Dick". I found their births in the index as follows: 1. William David Edwin Robinson b. Feb 1907 Dublin South 2. Richard Frank Robinson b. April 1911 Dublin South On the birth certificate for William, the place of birth looks like Dalmar Teremure Park - not sure about the first two words. This is where I've hit the wall. I have pictures, more like a teasers, which haunt me. One is a Christmas card from Bill & Gladys with a picture of daughter Hilary and an address of 29 Clareville Rd, Harold's Cross, Dublin. Another picture is of three children and on the back it says Hilary 8yrs, Carol 4yrs and Lewis 7 months. I wonder are these William's children?? Does anyone have any ideas of how I should proceed in my research?? Suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Judy in Alberta

>Patrick Joseph Gibbons, 17 April 1881, Templeque, Registered in the >district of Tallaght in the union South Dublin,164 98 no 43.< Hi there. Please have a look at this word again, Templeque. There is no such place, but it might be Templeogue, where I used to live. It's not all that far from Tallaght. You won't find any Irish person's marriage details online, not even the indexes, and I'm sorry to say the census you require is not online either, though it may be by the end of this year. Meantime if you can get to a family history centre of the LDS church you can order in on loan the relevant microfilms, or try the UK's Public Records site for army information http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/ I'm sure you've tried the IGI for any information? Good luck with your researches. Debby Raymond, Queensland, Australia
Hello It is a bit of a long shot, but does anyone have any of the following in their family trees. My Great Grandfather was born Patrick Joseph Gibbons, 17 April 1881, Templeque, Registered in the district of Tallaght in the union South Dublin,164 98 no 43 Siblings. Sarah Born 10 July 1876, Christine Mary 13 Dec 1873, John Michael Born 23 Sep 1869 Parents John Gibbons & Honora Gorman., Where would I find their marriage details online? He enlisted in the British Army, in Dublin 13th March 1902, and at the time lived at 5 Block Piles Buildings Off Wood Street, DUBLIN. Also, is there a way I can order a copy of the 1901 Dublin Census based on the above address, is it online Sorry so many questions my have just found Great Grandfathers army records, and been able to get an address from that. Many Thanks Robin Beard
Thank you so much for the reply, yes I have the civil registration births for all the children born in Dublin, the last 6. You were interested in the one for Mary Beatty Allen, so here is her information details. Hope it will help to connect with information you may have. I have the details for all the others, but no decedents except for Jane, who is my grandmother. The detail for Mary Beatty Allen is as follows Superintendent Registrar's District: No1 North City in the Union of North Dublin in the County of the City of Dublin Date of Birth: Fourth February 1874 at 91 Church Road Forenames: Mary Beatty Sex: Female Father: John George Allen of 91 Church Road Mother: Jane Allen formerly Mullen' Father's Occupation: Commercial Clerk Registered by: John G. Allen, father, 91 Church Road Date Registered: February twenty seventh,1874 Deputy Registrar: J.P. Nowlan It is my great hope to find the decedents of the other nine siblings of my grandmother, so I am hoping that others on this list might recognize a connection with their family tree. Any help or inquiries much appreciated. Hi List, can someone suggest, hopefully online, where I can view old maps of Dublin from around the period of late 1800s to early 1900s please? I am trying to find Anne Cottage(s) in I believe (South) Anne Street, somewhere off Grafton Street so I am led to believe. I also believe it is in the close(-ish) vicinity of York Street! Kind regards, Michael McAllister

Hi, I am trying to find the birth dates and a marriage for the name SETON or SEATON in St Mark's parish, Dublin. Is there anybody who could look at the register, between 1760 and 1790 for the baptism of Robert, Sarah, Juliana, Christopher, Winton and William (1775) and the possible marriage of Sarah to Thomas Marley? The parents of the children were Robert and Margaret (nee Cox), and they married in the church in 1762. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards Marcia Watson Western Australia

Hi Listers, Does anyone have any news of my branch of Robinsons? I have Ellen Robinson born 1804 place ? married in 1840 in Chapelizod to JAMES WATTS born city of Sligo 1809. This couple lived in Stillorgan for the rest of their lives as far as I can make out. I would like to find all their childrens names and dates. I am only sure of Mary Jane my gt. grandmother born 1845 and left for London in 1872.where she married JOHN IGOE born Muckenagh, Noughaval, Westmeath 1850. All protestants except John Igoe. Ellen and James Watts are buried in St. Brigid's churchyard, Stillorgan. Thanks to anyone for taking the time to read this and to give it some consideration. Irene of Seattle former Londoner.

Margaret, If there is a connection with the Hands in Ardee, I have quite a lot of information. I visited them two years ago and through excellent church records could follow the line, even my GGGrandfather's Baptism record. If there is a connection I could put your cousin in touch with the family in Ardee.
