    3. Hi everyone I'm still trying to find information on my GGAunt the above Rosetta Byrne who married a Mr. Woodworth. They were living in Dublin City in 1827 according the will of Rosetta's brother Michael who died here in Sydney at that time. Rosetta's other brother William was born in Co. Bracknagh, Offaly in 1780 this I found from his Royal Marines records. I have searched the 1841/51 Census for England just in case they moved there found nothing. I cannot find anything on Rosetta's marriage (maybe in Bracknagh) death, cemetery records, emigration records. Can anyone suggest how I can find out anything on Rosetta and her husband at all please, I've really hit a brickwall. Kindest regards Dianna

    3. Sharon Oddie Brown, Roberts Creek, BC, Canada. History Project: www.thesilverbowl.com Christine, Thank you so much for this. I think you have nailed it. As you noticed, Matthew Irwin FERGUSON and his wife Sarah Evelyn are recorded in the church records at 7 Grove Park in 1895 & 1897 & 60 Grove Park on Jan 1899. They are at #19 Grove Park in the 1901 Census. They are Presbyterian, and he was a draper. They also have two boarders and a lodger. This looks as if it has considerable potential. I will see if I can find a marriage for them. I would presume it was close to a year before the birth of their first child - at least that is where I will start. In the 1911 Census, I see that she was born in Armagh in 1863, and he was born in Derry. I have found her death: *FERGUSON*-- December 18, 1938, at the residence of her son-in-law, Hillcrest, Cabinteely, County Dublin, Sarah Eveline, widow of Matthew Irwin Ferguson. So far, I see no family connection to the young JACKSON lad who was staying with them, but it seems that they had a history of taking in boarders, so that may be all that it is. Again, Thank you, Sharon PS And thank you so much for stepping up to the plate and taking over this list. I will share a post with lots of new info in it tomorrow. 3. I am looking for the names of whoever may have resided at 7 Grove Park, Rathmines, Dublin in the late 1800s. It may have been a boarding house, or a family residence. From 1894 to 1898, an Andrew Hugh Gilmore Jackson boarded there while attending St. Andrew's School. His father was Presbyterian, his mother Church of Ireland. In the 1901 Census, the lad was 19 years old and wasvisiting his grandmother at Urker, near Crossmaglen, South Armagh. He was articling as a law clerk. Here is the conundrum with this address. In the 1901 Census, Grove Park goes from 12-91 while Grove Road goes from 93-130. Then in 1911 Grove Park goes from 1-107. The family at #7 Grove Park is not present anywhere in Dublin in 1901. In the 1911 census, Grove Road goes 1-7, 10, 11 and there is a Grove Ave, 1-3, 15,16 Grove Ave isn't on any modern map but Grove Road is on the canal from Portobello bridge to Harolds Cross while Grove Park starts on Rathmines Road, runs parallel to the canal and meets Grove Road half way between the bridges. Grove Park is also clear on the 25" map (1888-1913), showing row houses either side of the road. The whole numbering changes between 1901 & 1911 and may have been somewhat arbitrary. In other words the houses may not have had formal numbers and the numbering may have depended on where the enumerator started. In short -- help?
