As I just posted, we've found the cause of the blue film on the images I get from the soldier wills database: it's Google Chrome, so I have to use Internet Explorer when I access that database. Oddly, though, I have no similar problem when I use Google Chrome to look at images in the two other National Archives databases, the Census of Ireland, 1901 and 1911; and the Tithe Applotment Books, 182337.
