    1. [IRL-DUBLIN] Thankyou from Cara and lets move on mail.

    3. Firstly let me thank all of you for your input, I was indeed surprised to see so many different email names popping up, On the list this is good, and although it was not a case of me looking for thanks, I never needed that, I wanted your input To the list, to see if you were happy, I laughed with deep amusement at a few comments, and a good laugh sometimes is what the body needs. I have taken everyone's advice aboard, placed it in to practice, and moving on lets once again turn our thoughts to our past and see what is hidden, in some Engine Alley, or can be found on Grafton Street, Or the Rotunda, here we all enjoy the hunt and the foraging, hunting our ancestors is like a huge treasure hunt, with someone hiding the clues, and someone arriving before us and moving them to another hiding place. So we must now move on and hunt, high a low, for the hidden folk, bit like looking for the wonder of a leprechaun, and I know they are hiding somewhere because I keep looking. Would you all like to write something about your Dublin Ancestor and post to the list, perhaps a broader picture of the persons you are looking for, may create a new idea on where to look. Simply be nice and make it all about the Irish content part, but do not hesitate to tell us where they went to, where they died, did some stay in Ireland, what did they become in their Lands, did they follow on in the work force of what they had learnt in Ireland? I tell this story on a few lists I admin about the lady who was hunting for her relatives, and I said to her what did they name the dog. And she said *funny that you should ask that * they named all the dogs Carlow, hence with a silly question her beginnings were located, as hey did indeed come >From Carlow, a happy lady now researching in that area. Remember this not everyone has had the chance to wander Ireland and study it, and learn the quirky way they handle their words and such, so when someone asks or reads a name that Is not quite right, be it in a parish register or an old document, I noted on a site last night that Tinahely has a new name of Finahely,, and I remember a rather caustic mail about a place that had been named Ballinglass instead of Baltinglass, and that came from Griffiths, so when checking out these place names also ask is it the correct spelling, of that townland, so when you ask persons do not ignore you. Cheers Cara
