Richard Barrington was born 5/5/1865 Enniscorthy Co Wexford he was the son of Thomas Barrington ( died 1886) he was a saddler and was married to Mary Frayne a native of Co Donegal, she died in 1884. They were married 21/6/1861 at Kilpatrick Church Co Wexford Ireland ( Wexford Registra's District Vol 10 page 587) Richard married 18/6/1895 ( Inishowen Registra's district June quarter 1895, Vol 2 pge 93) Charlotte B Scott a native of Co Sligo they had three children 1- Margaret Born on 10/5/1896 in Malin Co Donegal this girl married twice firstly in 1922 to the historian and writer, Edmund Curtis ( 1881-1943) and secondly the novelist Liam O'Flaherty ( 1896-1984) she herself died in Kinsale co Cork in 1982. 2- Adelaide Charlotte was born in Magheragh Co Derry and she went to Canada where she married Loftus Dudley Ward her first cousin and son of John Ward 3 - Henrietta was born in Malin Co Donegal in 1900 and she died on 29/12/1919 Richard went with his daughter Charlotte in 1926 and retired in Victoria British Columbia Canada, where he died in hospital of a heart disease on 24/9/1949. He was buried in Saanich Royal Oak Cemetery Victoria British Columbia / he was a Protestant all his life but for some reason changed his religion to Catholic which in turn separated him from his wife.
