Valerie, Mount Jerome was opened in 1836/7 and was effectively a Protestant Cemetery until the 1920s. Deansgrange opened in 1862. Cemetery records for both up to 1972 are available to view on microfilm at the Dublin library, Pearse St. http://www.dublincity.ie/Images/DeansgrangeCemetery_tcm35-38173.pdf http://www.dublincity.ie/Images/MountJeromeCemetery_tcm35-38172.pdf Glasnevin opened in 1832 and is the more likely resting place for your Hughes. Goldenbridge in Inchicore, Grangegorman military cemetery in Cabra, or the Royal Hiberniana Military School cemetery in Phoenix Park unlikely maybes. There are some online baptisms, marriages and burial records online at http://www.dublinheritage.ie/ but the records are far from complete at the moment.
