Hi Dan Thanks for the quick reply. Back Lane looks like the right part of Dublin. John's/Joseph's daughter-in-law was living in Back Lane at the time of her marriage to his son. Within baptism records for grandchildren of John/Joseph I have found the surname variously spelt WITHERS/WETHERS/WHITHERS. I have also seen it outside of the family spelt WEATHERS.
