    3. Hi all, A few months ago I posted a message to the list regarding research for Breen/Duffy, Dublin and had a reply from Brian. We agreed that he would do some research for me and I was awaiting his instructions regarding payment etc. After many emails to his address I still have not had another reply so I may have to give up on Brian. Does anyone know an honest, reliable researcher with reasonable charges? Olive Bandy Perth, Western Australia

I cannot contradict her when she says I agreed to work for her because I simply can't remember but if she refers to my emails to her at the time she will remember I did actually tell her that I did not feel comfortable about doing this work for her for specific reasons which I won't go into here. That apart, the reason her emails to me did not receive a reply at the time is because I did not get them, nor did I get any newsgroup posts and that happened because my email server was deemed to be a bulk mail sender by spamcop, which of course is nonesense as I would'nt reply to more than 10 people in any week...if even that. It is my understanding that Rootsweb itself had a similar problem with spamcop at the time as did many innocent people. It took me some time to set up an alternative temporary email account after which I admittedly did not try to re-contact Olive mainly because I was'nt happy about it doing it either way. To all intents and purposes I was technically if not actually unsubscribed and my email address rendered inactive by this spamcop lot. The list Administrator, Anthony, can confirm that I was having technical trouble at this time as he kindly emailed me about it. At the time,Olives emails were not being ignored, they were just not being received and this problem persisted for many weeks. Happily no one suffered any loss, financial or otherwise. It was merely inconvenient. I wish Olive every success in her search for another reliable honest researcher. Replies off-list only please. On a technicality - I am not the list admin for this list but for the Dublin-City list, someone else admins this list. But I am happy to confirm a number of points A. Brian had considerable difficulty with mail issues some while back B. Brian has been one of the most willing, helpful list members on the Dublin-City list and while I am aware that he operates a professional service, he has consistently replied with very usful information and lookups for many list members. C. the suggestion that Brian is either unreliable or misleading is so untrue its laughable. I have had many subscribers to my list write in fulsome praise of his generosity and promptness of service. I must point out that I do not know, nor have I ever met Brian personally, just observed his good work over the years and feel this slight on his integrity cannot go unanswered. Regards Anthony J. 3. I wholeheartly agree with Anthony. Brian did work for me and I cannot fault him in any way. I only have praise for his thoughtfulness and integrity to contact me with information before he went away for a week - something he didn't have to do. I'll certainly continue to ask Brian to do research for me if I need help. Regards, from a very satisfied Aussie customer Alma ----- Original Message ----- From: "Anthony J.
