I consult with real estate and investment companies to find property owners who have moved away, sometimes to other countries. I've also written two books that relate to this - Forensic Genealogy and DNA & Genealogy (_www.forensicgenealogy.info_ (http://www.forensicgenealogy.info) ). If you have not already tried DNA as a means of finding your family, you should. There are DNA projects going on that you could join to find matches. I know of other people in similiar situations to yours who have been successful in finding family this way. There is no guarantee of a DNA match, but as more people get tested, your chances improve.
