I am trying to find the last resting place of 2 of my ancestors. However I am not having much success in locating that place. James Henry Minty Harman - died 16 Nov 1894 Florence Elizabeth Harman - died 9 Jan 1895 Their father was a soldier with the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry stationed in Ireland at the time. Both death certificates are issued as District Newry No 1. Can anyone please point me in the direction as to where I may be able to locate the grave site records? I have tried writing to a couple of the Churches of Ireland, but obviously the requests fell into the "too hard basket". Being in Sydney it is hard to locate and access the relevant records. Any help would be appreciated Best Regards Michael
If you think they may be in a Church of Ireland graveyard have a look at www.ireland.anglican.org/library/ They may be able to tell you which churches were in the Newry area. The town of that name is in Northern Ireland.
