The Mount Jerome Cemetery has been indexed by LDS and the films can be hired. The records start in 1837 - before registration. Sorry for the delay of my reply but I have had a bad accident, sold my house and then moved. I am exhausted !!!!! So I am only now getting to answer hundreds of messages. This is a standard message for everyone. Regards Valerie. -----Original Message----- From: irl-dublin-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:irl-dublin-bounces@rootsweb.com]On Behalf Of Alan Barnard Sent: Friday, 3 November 2006 4:50 AM To: IRL-DUBLIN-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [IRL-DUBLIN] [Dublin] McKEOWN family It is over a year since I last sent to the list and in the hope that new subscribers may be researching the same family I am trying once again. I am seeking information on my great grandparents John & Mary (nee Monahan/Monehan) McKEOWN (or McKeon) who were married in St. Michaels Church, Kingstown that I understand is now Dun Laoghaire. They were married 29 June 1856. According to my grandmother and their daughter Margaret, they had 3 sets of twins prior to 1862 who did not survive, and a son James all born in Ireland. Margaret was born in 1864 in England, and she and James were the only surviving children. So they went to England between 1862 and 1864. I paid a researcher some years ago who discovered their marriage but was unable to find any other information. John was a plasterer in Manchester so possibly in Co. Dublin. My grandmother and other McKeown relatives in England believe that some of the family lived in Dalkey. If anyone can offer any help or suggestions I would be very grateful.
