Hello Irene, I think you will find most McHenrys' in Victoria & in Ireland they came mostly from Co. Antrim. My gggrandfather was a William McHenry who married Ann Black in Antrim c1850, I am from their eldest son John. They were in Ballarat where William & Ann died. Have you obtained the birth certificates of any of the children to see if there is anything different on them? Robyn Rockhampton. Hi Robyn No, I must say I haven't looked for McHenrys in any other counties as Thomas birthplace was given as Dublin on both his marriage and death certificates. As I said, I have the idea he may be a convict, so perhaps he lied about his birthplace. I'll check that out. Many thanks Regards Irene -------Original Message------- From: les wright Date: 11/16/06 10:09:01 PM To: irl-dublin@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [IRL-DUBLIN] Mc HENRY, Thomas Hello Irene, I think you will find most McHenrys' in Victoria & in Ireland they came mostly from Co. Hello Irene, There are McHenry's in other places, but they come from the north. I would certainly stay with Dublin, especially as he states it a number of times. When did he come out? Have you only looked at shipping into N.S.W. Swan Hill is in Victoria My gggrandmother was a mysterey to us, but she eventually turned up on a shipping list, it was just hard to read.
