Liz, As an alternative, the Visit Dublin website has a map facility at : http://www.visitdublin.com/travel/maps/dublin/ If you click on the + symbol twice to zoom in, Merchants Quay appears on the left hand side of the map on the riverside. You can then use the left arrow to travel towards Guinness/Phoenix Park; right arrow towards the city centre and on to the docks and the coastline; up arrow for North Dublin; down arrow for South Dublin. Zoom out using the - symbol to get an overview of Dublin today. The site has a webcam which points to O'Connell Bridge and part of the riverside. There are some podcasts for walks (iWalks) around the area : http://www.visitdublin.com/multimedia/DublinPodcasts/dublin.aspx If you want to listen to a description of some of the area and get some historical notes.
