The information I have on my maternal great great grandparents is as follows: James McDonnell was born March 8, 1831 in Garristown, Dublin, Ireland. His wife , Marcella Walsh, was born in Chicago, Illinois August 8, 1837 in Chicago, Illinois. James immigrates to this country sometime around 1852-1854. He is married December 6, 1856 at St. Bridget's Church in Chicago to Marcella. I know of his birth date from a notation in the family bible, but no other record exists to my knowledge. The marriage information comes from the parish log, as all civil records were destroyed in the Chicago Fire of 1871. Marcella and James have twelve children, and both parents expire in 1891. What I am interested in trying to establish is James' birth, and/or baptism records. I also know that some McDonnells still live today in Garristown.
