Hi... Does anyone have a contact at the IRRS? I wrote to the Society a while back. I had even made a phone call from the US to try and get a name of the archivist and was told just to write and I would receive an answer. I hope I am not getting too impatient, but I am still trying to find information about James Rawlins, who was the Superintendent of the Dublin and Kingstown Railway from 1843 - 1849. A book by the late K.A. Murray discusses Rawlins. It would be wonderful if someone from the society could direct me to more info. Hello Bev., Just recently I wrote to the Secretary of the IRRS and received a letter back saying my request has been referred to the society's hon.archivist who will contact me in due course. I received the letter approx. 3 weeks from posting mine which I thought was very good as I live in Australia. I gave my email address in the letter, but don't know whether he will contact me that way. Perhaps your letter has gone astray.
