HI Barbara, My gg grandfather, William BOWE(b. 1825 IRL), came from Ireland about 1850 to No. Smithfield RI. He and his extended family consisting of Catherine Bowe (b. 1815 IRL), Hannah Bowe (b. 1820 IRL) , and Julia Bowe (b. 1802 IRL)where living in Cumberland/No. Smithfield RI in 1860. They were living in the same house as the John SULLIVAN family, John ANDERSON family, and Mary O'NEIL family, all from Ireland as well as the Stephen OWENS family from Dublin. I perked up when I read your msg. about Mary Bowe. My ggg grandfather was Timothy Bowe from Ireland born in Jan 1822. He married Catherine Clary (b. 1825 in Dublin). They immigrated to New Jersey and were married in 1849. I haven't been able to find a thing about Timothy and his earlier years in Ireland.
