I di some research for you in the Dublin Directories. 1880 Index SHARP names do Alfred, John, John, John and Miss SHARPE Charles, Misses, Wm Esq 1 Lower Gardiner St vacant 1885 SHARP Richard Mr 37l [ valuation of house, not too sure what this means as yet ] 1 Gardiner Street Lwr Pr St Thomas - no one else named in this house 1890 SHARP Miss dressmaker I Gardiner Street Lwr 30l also in this house McKiernan Robert chiropodist 1895 Mr McKiernan Robert 30l chiropodist no one else there I could only do every 5 years as the rest of the directories were in another building in stack. If you are interested in the other years I could have a look for you but I do not know when that would be. Do remember that these directory entires can be out by a year or so. I also looked at the index to Mt Jerome Cemetery for the years 1885-1888 with no result BUT !!!! just happened to see as I was winding the film back 1884 No 1125 SHARPE Richard 17 Pavers Court. Do know he had a son Robert Joseph and Hannah Victoria. Am trying to find dates of birth on them, believe Robert could have been around 1860-1862, have no idea on Hannah, just know she married a William Burke in 1888 at which time she was living at 1 Lower Gardiner Street and marriage certificate states father was deceased. Robert married in England in 1885 (father was listed as living) and emigrated to USA. Hannah, husband William and daughter Sydney Emma Sharp Burke also emigrated to USA. Would be grateful if there is any information you can find on this family. Thanks. Good morning Valerie May I wish you have very healthy and happy Easter. Please forgive me if I have e-mailed you before asking for help with my research. I have managed to get a couple of certificates my father's birth certificate grandparents marriage certificate and gathered a few addresses.
