Patrick HUGHES was born about 1835 in Corfu and died in Queensland in 1911. He was listed as " Professor of Music " but I doubt that he had any University training as I can not find him in any of the Alumni books. I think "Professor" was a courtesy title often given to music teachers. I had an ancestral relative who was a "Professor of Music" aged 26, with no apparent university links either.
