Hi Cara, Once a will is found in the index, how does one find a copy? Also are there Administration records for those who died without a formal will? If a will cannot be found in Dublin, is it possible that it might have been probated elsewhere even if the family resided in Dublin? Apparently Maria Emma Rawlins Sheehan left her husband a sizable sum of money when she died in 1874. I believe it was from her father James Rawlins' estate. We have not found a will for him, however. Some of the wills of Irish people are held at the National Archives in Kew, London and available on line. Have a look at documentsonline.com while many in the Irish Public Record Office were burnt in the fire in 1922.
