Known facts are that he had two children that I know of, one Robert Joseph Sharp who married in England in 1885 to Annie Elizabeth Pitts and then emigrated to the US. Richard also had one daughter named Hannah Victoria Sharp who married a William Burke in 1888 and they had one daughter born in Dublin, Sydney Emma Sharp Burke, they also emigrated to the US. I understand that in a directory there is a listing of a Miss Sharp at 1 Lower Gardiner Street, occupation dressmaker, first name unknown, around 1900. One of Robert's children, Samuel, married his first cousin Sydney Emma Sharp Burke (no-one evidently knew that they were first cousins, and I have just managed to find that both Robert and Hannah's father was named Richard and lived at 1 Lower Gardiner Street through copies of their marriage certificates).
