Hi Catherine, Thank you for your response to my inquiry. Quite a Mystery by now. The address is used on a wedding Certificate in 1877 as the brides residence at the time of marriage and previously I had been told that the Bride's grandfather William Quigly lived there in 1875. Could there have been two " Seville Places" in Dublin at that time? regards Inga ----- Original Message ----- From: <catherine10@eircom.net> To: <irl-dublin@rootsweb.com>; <IRL-DUBLIN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, March 13, 2007 4:55 AM Subject: Re: [IRL-DUBLIN] 99, Seville Place, Dublin irl-dublin@rootsweb.com wrote: hi There is no 99 Seville Place, the house numbers only go up to 35. Inga, Have you thought of the possibility that your relatives may have been 'in service' at this residence? Their names wouldn't show up as the head of household, but they may have been 'living in' as employees. Or perhaps they rented part of the house? Wendy, William Forsyth was chief engineer at the Public works in Dublin until he retired in 1874. It is most likely that after a couple of years in retirement he moved on to perhaps a smaller place in Dublin. I have found a registration of death for a William Forsyth in 1888 in Dublin North. Not knowing if this WF is ours and before I send for a Death Certificate I was trying to find out if he still lived at Seville Place up till 1888. Now looking at Stuarts information that a Mary Mordant was listed at that address in 1884, I know now that he must have moved on by then. The search goes on! Kind regards Inga. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Robt & Wendy Stevenson" <stevensons@odyssey.on.ca> To: <irl-dublin@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, March 13, 2007 8:34 AM Subject: Re: [IRL-DUBLIN] 99, Seville Place, Dublin Inga, Have you thought of the possibility that your relatives may have been 'in service' at this residence?
