Oh that is a pity Bill. It is such a great feeling to see your ancestors, usually relatives, signatures which I think is a side of genealogy sadly lacking. A person can be proved to be a relative by their signature. The films are extremely easy to read and these would be the best experience I have had in family history research. If the burial is marked with a P it means that the grave was bought in Perpetuity which leads to another source. Here you can find a full description of the grave, who bought it, for what price and who else is buried there - sometime 6 to 8 people. Regards from Valerie in sunny Sydney. Last time Mount Jerome Cemetery was discussed a couple of months back, I got the impression that each look-up was 6 Euros, payable to Mr Massey, the Caretaker. Perhaps I misunderstood the information! regards Inga Jackson New Zealand ----- Original Message ----- From: "Valeris Garton" <vbgarton@optusnet.com.au> To: <irl-dublin@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, August 26, 2007 1:25 PM Subject: Re: [IRL-DUBLIN] Mt Jerome Cemetery Index Oh that is a pity Bill. When I requested info Mr. Massey did not charge. Things must have changed. Just write and he will let you know. It would have been worth 6 Euros for me to know.
