He says he was born in Dublin in August 1938. The pension service have said that they have tried to trace his birth certificate but have not found it. I wondered about Catholic parish records to try and trace his baptism. The local LDS only has records up to 1931. I know I am probably looking for a needle in a haystack as the man can't remember much about his life in Dublin. He moved with his family to London in the early 50's. The only thing he can remember is the address Comeragh Road and that he thinks he lived near a hospital! He can't remember if that was in Dublin or London and that name features in both Cities and are both near hospitals. He can't remember any of the schools he went to. Is there anyone who can help me? I have his name and his parents names but not his mother's maiden name and names of 2 sisters but not much else. Would there be any record of his emigration to London? Would he have needed a passport? Can these be traced? Any help would be very much appreciated. I can provide the names off list to anyone who can do any look ups. Thanks, Catherine. ********************************************************************** As a public body, the Council may be required to disclose this email [or any response to it] under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, unless the information in it is covered by one of the exemptions in the Act.
