Hi Listers, Perhaps someone can help. I have two cousins, Thomas MARSDEN and Rosanna nee MARSDEN, who were both apparently born in Dublin c1821, married in Dublin ????, one child Edward Alexander MARSDEN born in Ireland c1838, Thomas, Rosanna and Edward left for Australia with the 99 Regt. of Foot in 1842 after Thomas signed up in Dublin on 14 Oct 1840. I have looked for his discharge records, and have not found his with the 99th Regt. of Foot. So far one of the the only leads I may have is that from the Dublin City Library, of a similarly named Rosanna Marden who died and was buried on 5 June 1852 in St. James Parish. Is there anyone who is going to the Library who can check to see if there is any further information on this Rosanna MARSDEN in the Dublin Library. I could not find any marriages or Baptism records for St. James Parish on the site. Are these St. James records missing? I am hoping the record may tie in with my Rosanna who was definitely alive until 1884, dying in Hobart, Tasmania. (There is another Rosanna MARSDEN who died Dublin, age 70 in 1865 at St. Vincents Hospital , South Dublin.) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Bev Rodan Melbourne, Australia
