Hi List: I am researching the family of my great grand parents, Peter Henry & Harriet Morton. The marriage registration of their 2 sons say they were born in Dublin. There was no further definition, whether Dublin City, or Dublin County. Since they were all farmers, I would suspect Dublin County, possibly towards the Wicklow area. The info I have is as follows, for the family, prior to emigration to Ontario, cir 1847. They had many other children, in Ontario. Peter Henry Morton: Born Dublin c 1810 Father Harriet Gibson: Born Dublin c 1825 Mother John: Born Dublin c 1843 Son Henry James Born Dublin c 1845 Son The family is shown as C of E, C of I, for religion, in several Census reports. I would appreciate your feedback and suggestions as to how I may move forward with this family, and possibly obtain Baptisms for all 4, and the marriage registration for Peter Henry & Harriet. I appreciate the difficulty of the above request, without knowing the precise parish and townland. Is there such a thing as a Dublin Heritage Centre ? I was quite successful, in Sligo, obtaining the parish records for my White Ancestors, in Sligo, and Martins, in Monaghan.
