I'm looking for some clue about my gt. grandfather Thomas Power. On his marriage certificate in Birkenhead May 1861 it seems he was born in Dublin in 1836 and his father was William Power a book-keeper (at that time presumably.) Thomas's census returns till his death in Liverpool in 1886 maintain the birth year as about 1836. How can I find out more, please? Anne Power Manchester. Hi There were 4 William Powers in Dublin according to Shaws Dublin directory www.dublin1850.com, although none a book-keeper.
