I've been through the Clonebraney WADEs in Burke's pretty thoroughly. There is also a large body of research by a librarian S.C. WADE of New York, published in 1900. His descendancy list mostly agrees with Burke but not everywhere. There are always a few black sheep whose existence was conveniently pushed to the side. Lots of Henrys, Johns and Roberts. To trace the Wade ancestral tree To the very root of the pedigree, Were a task as rash as ridiculous, Through antediluvian mists as thick As a London fog such a line to pick, Were enough, in truth to puzzle Old Nick, Not to name Sir Harris Nicholas. - R. L. Stevenson--Skerryvore. Now following up on Bill's suggestion re Wicklow. Thanks, Bill. Nancy in NZ Nancy Vada Gibb [email protected]
