    1. [IRL-DUBLIN] BOOK AWARDS IN IRELAND
    2. Cara_Links
    3. This book has been photographed by a young man I know in Wexford Ireland, and although I may be slightly pregudiced in his favour, as others are requesting votes via rootsweb, I am now asking you all to please trust me on this and cast a vote for this up and coming photographer. ( this will be a one only posting but it will appear on all the lists I admin) Harry Clarke would have been one of the finest stained glass church window designer that graced Ireland and having been a fan of Harry's work for some years I was delighted to find that this has been put to a book form, that we could all invest in and place on our Irish book shelf ( I dont have one as yet ) but have put an order in for Christmas. * Harry Clarke was Ireland's greatest stained glass artist. During his short life Harry created stained glass windows for churches, private dwellings and commercial venues throughout Ireland and England, and as far afield as the USA and Australia. This book contains the entire stained glass collection of Harry Clarke, including those windows now in art galleries. * From the site ..... Irish Book Awards Exclusively Irish, inclusive in every other sense, the Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards brings together the entire literary community -- readers, authors, booksellers, publishers and librarians -- like no other awards. These are your awards - join us in celebrating Irish writing. review the book here :-http://lustrousglass.blogspot.com/2010/05/strangest-genius-harry-clarke.html Could you click this link and vote for the book, thanks if that does not work would you copy and paste and go there and vote ( this means a lot to me personally) to see Harry Clarkes stained glass windows immortilised in a book has me jumping off the rooftops ( mentally anyway) http://www.irishbookawards.ie/ViewBook.aspx?book=269634 Yours with gratitude Cara I use BullGuard Spamfilter to keep my inbox clean.
