    3. Hi Cara, I am always keen to have other people's opinions because it's so easy to miss stuff. I based my initial search of 'Dillon' on my grandmother's recollection, which she had written in her papers. There were also brief notes about things that I have found to be true. I have wondered about the 'Thorpe' name, but haven't found any links to it. I have a gift subscription to Ancestry (fixed term membership - Yay), and found a family tree for Thorpe Francis, with parents Wm John and Anna Elizabeth Dollin. William was born in Scotland. I am hoping I may have some success in tracing him there. I haven't found conclusively what Anna Eliza's maiden name was, but at least I have new lines of investigation.Thorpe had descendants, and I am hoping to find out more from the owner of the tree. Thanks to all those who read through the emails and offer insight or suggestions. Best wishes Julie ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cara_Links" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, April 29, 2011 11:47 PM Subject: Re: [IRL-DUBLIN] Fw: ENGLISH - DOOLAN.
