    3. Good day everyone I am at a complete standstill with my family. I have traced my g g g grandparent through from the 1841 census until their respective deaths but can't get back any further. I really am at a loss on how to proceed. Any suggestions would be gratefully received. - SURNAME and Christian name:- Lynch, David. Bab(b)ington Eleanor Frances - RELIGION:- RC - DO YOU KNOW WHERE THEY MARRIED IF SO:- Unable to find them marrying. I think they would have married about 1820 - AGE WHEN MARRIED:- David 26, Eleanor 22 - GROOM WAS BORN WHERE:- Believe it may be Dublin That is what he gave on Census -LIVED AFTER MARRIAGE:- Children born in Leeds, then Manchester - NAME THE CHILDREN BORN TO THE MARRIED COUPLE IN IRELAND:- NONE - IF THEY LEFT IRELAND WHEN WHAT YEAR:- David joined the 2nd/83rd Regiment of the Foot on 1809.He is thought to have been in service until 1814. I'm uncertain if he ever returned to Ireland - DID THEY DIE IN IRELAND:- No Manchester - WHAT DID THE PERSON YOU ARE LOOKING FOR WORK AT:- Weaver then Provisions Dealer These are the children . All baptised in Leeds, Yorkshire, England at St Patrick's Catholic Church, York Rd Ellenor Lynch 1821 – David George Lynch 1823 – 1900 Elizabeth Lynch 1824 – 1872 Patrick Lynch 1826 – 1882 Thomas Lynch 1828 – 1867 John Hastings Lynch 1830 – 1880 Andrew Lynch 1835 – 1893 The naming patten was very strong in this family. It continued for generations , there are far too many Davids and Eleanors in this line ! On this web site http://www.irishgenealogy.ie/index.html I found a mention of a John Hastings Babington, which made me wonder if he was connected to Eleanor. I am probably grasping at straws! Any suggestion on where to look next ? Many thanks Terese NSW Australia
