>Do you have John Wardlaw's baptism cert 18 Sept 1873 from Irish Genealogy? >(http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/details/d1f64e0559024). >You will see it says father WILLIAM DAVID WARDLAW and mother MARY ANNE >WARDLAW, which could mean that they were, in fact, married. William David >is a Clerk in Bank of Ireland, like your David William Wardlaw, so looks >like it's the same man - unless they were brothers working together???? Yes Colette I do have this baptism of John Wardlaw 18 Sep 1873 and it was the fact that David William Wardlaw, the father in both cases, was Clerk in Bank of Ireland that made me think that they were the same man. However, I cannot find a marriage record to confirm a marriage. If they were married, it could have been in a non conformist church, as the history of the family suggests. The record may not be digitalised (if existent). Thanks for your interest Judy
