A brilliant idea, thank you. (Given that this is in Christchurch and many of the buildings (including the Cathedral) are now rubble, my question may be too big an ask of them. However, it is well worth trying while I await other ideas...) Crumbs you are so right! Was that her parish? You get them from the parish where she was married/buried/christened children. I have emailed the main diocese in Christchurch and am now in the process of writing to the little parish church in the village where she lived. I have not seen the contents of one and so might there be any other early history besides Maria's baptism contained in this 'Sacramental History" , such as her parents and which church the family attended/belonged to in Dublin? I am told (told don't know) that they should include parents and god parents but possibly those records were lost in the early years in NZ. It should include every sacrament such as First Communion etc But many priests don't want to do it and for mercy sake don't let the G word pass, they (many of the church) are terrified of the LDS coming in and taking their parishioners Eliz On Sat, Mar 26, 2011 at 8:36 PM, Gail Riddell (Te Kohanga) <[email protected]> wrote: > > I have emailed the main diocese in Christchurch and am now in the process of writing to the little parish church in the village where she lived. > > I have not seen the contents of one and so might there be any other early history besides Maria's baptism contained in this 'Sacramental History" , such as her parents and which church the family attended/belonged to in Dublin? > > Gail Riddell (Te Kohanga, NZ) > > On 27/03/2011, at 12:46 PM, Eliz Hanebury wrote: > >> Crumbs you are so right!
