Hello All. Can anyone give me some direction in researching my BLUNDELL family? William BLUNDELL was born in Dublin and was a watchmaker/jeweller. He married a Elizabeth SMITH. His father, also William, was an inspector in the Irish Constabulary. Stationed in Dublin or the surrounding area and was also stationed in Limerick. He married Elizabeth WARD. Many thanks, Judy. I am looking for Patrick Tighe b: abt 1825. Catholic and either was born in Cavan and lived in Dublin or his father was born in Dublin. There is a link between Dublin and Cavan I just can't get it connected. My father took a DNA test that put him in the Ulster area however, who I think might be one of his brothers Michael states he was from Cavan. Additionally, my aunt seems to remember a conversation regarding Wicklow but wasn't sure if they had family there was going to move there or what the conversation was regarding Wiclow. My brother went to Wicklow and found nothing. So I'm back to Ulster Dublin Cavan ..... They had one child, James b. 1827, in Dublin, Ireland; d. 1882, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. My guess is that John and Catharine were born around 1800 - 1810. I'm looking for information on the parents and family of Ralph Thornberry (or Thornbury) born 1822 St. Catherine's, Dublin. I think he was a builder. Probably the son of George. If it is the correct chap he married Frances Hawkins (daughter of Anthony) in 1846. I have found a Ralph Thornberry at 59 New Street. Does anyone know where this would have been and what sort of area it was in the mid to late 1800s? Regards Jill

SO NOW WE HAVE FATHER DYING IN DUBLIN IN 1852, SON LIVING AND WORKING THERE AND A MRS HUGHES LIVING AT HAROLDS CROSS FROM 1852-1874. I have not been able to find a burial for either of the above in: Not Deans Grange LDS Film # 906129 1865-1889. Letter 24 Aug 1993 stating no death found. Not Mt Jerome LDS Film # 0911810 1837-1876 no burial found. Not Glasnevin Cemetery - also checked by phone by Dean's Grange to Glasnevin Cemetery, no burial found.
