    3. Hello All As I posted on here recently I have 2 ancestors, WILLIAM & EDWARD BURKE, (Father & Son) who were tailors in the city in the some time in the early 19th C. Consequently I am now trying to locate any records be for the Dublin's Tailors Guild, if they still exist. I know the the Tailors Guild building still stands and I am sending a similar request to the Irish National Trust who I understand now own the building but any other information anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance JonB "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter". Martin Luther King

    1. [IRL-DUBLIN] records of Deangrange.
    2. David Lafferty
    3. Deansgrange Cemetery inscriptions have been compiled by the Genealogical Society of Ireland (see their webpage for futher information re prices of publications etc) formerly known as the Dun Laoghaire Genealogical society. Those cover the inscriptions on the actual stone. Several burials took place without a stone. The office at Deansgrange cemetery should have another record of who is buried in the grave regardless of whether there is a headstone or not. Roisin Lafferty

    2. Hi, The message about Deansgrange only covering headstones is not true. Their was nothing to convey where my grandmother was buried. BUT when I asked about her buriel to a kind man via the telephone in Deansgrange Cemetery. He could give me my grans plot number and who was buried with her, vital information. He was also able to put me in the right direction of my Grandads plot who happened to be in a paupers grave and he was buired with his first son. This apply's to most Graveyards in Ireland as a respect to their dead. But alas records will not show this information, but if you find a ancestor in Ireland, you will be respected and shown how to receive information, as has been my exprence Regards Kaye. > > Hi > > I thought I had better clarify a point re Deans Grange Cemetery Records. > > Although there are published books re this = > > cemetery - they only cover people who have headstones. > > For a full list of burials you need to look at the actual burial registers > > > Title > Registry of interments of Deansgrange cemetery, Dublin County, 1865-1972 > > Subjects > Ireland, Dublin, Deansgrange - Cemeteries > > Format > Manuscript (On Film) > > Language > English > > Publication > Salt Lake City, Utah : Filmed by the Genealogical Society of Utah, 1972 > > Physical > 10 microfilm reel ; 35 mm. > > Title Also Known As > Deansgrange Cemetery (Dublin) > > Film Notes > Note - Location [Film] > Deansgrange cemetery registry of interments, v. = > > 1-4 1865-1889 - FHL BRITISH Film [ 906129 ] > v. 4-8 1889-1902 - FHL BRITISH Film [ 906130 ] > v. 9-13 1902-1916 - FHL BRITISH Film [ 906131 ] > v. 14-18 1917-1927 - FHL BRITISH Film [ 906132 ] > v. 19-23 1927-1938 - FHL BRITISH Film [ 906133 ] > v. 24-26 1938-1944 - FHL BRITISH Film [ 906134 ] > v. 27-30 1944-1956 - FHL BRITISH Film [ 906135 ] > v. 31-33 1956-1965 - FHL BRITISH Film [ 906136 ] > v. 34-36 1965-1972 - FHL BRITISH Film [ 906137 ] > Register of graves 1935-1971 Register of care of = > > graves 1934-1972 - FHL BRITISH Film [ 906138 ] > > =A9 2002 Intellectual Reserve, Inc.
