I dont suppose there was a Patrick Keating there at all? All i know is mine got married in Dublin in 1865. He was a minor and his father was a porter called Dominick. Apparently, thru his death cert in Scotland his mother was a Catherine Reynolds. Mark
Sir Patrick Dun's Hospital was founded by the College and opened in 1815. It was one of Dublin's most important teaching hospitals until its closure in 1986. The complete records of the hospital are now preserved in the College. These include the Minute Books of the Board of Governors, managing committee and medical staff; records of the building of the hospital; registrars report books; registers of patients and operations; annual reports; scrapbooks of news cuttings and an almost complete run of photographs of medical staff and victorious rugby teams from the 1880's to the 1960's. I'm a new-comer and wonder if I could get some help please regarding my husband's family. I have found on www.dublinheritage.ie the baptism records of these Keatings at St Mary's R.C. Parish. 09-10-1842 James Keating 03-04-1836 Thomas Keating 09-02-1845 William Keating. Would some kind person be able to look up these records for me and see if they are brothers and their parents' names? I am particularly interested in James as I hope he is my husband's GGrandfather who came to New Zealand. Any other information would be gratefully received. Thanks June Keating Carterton New Zealand.

Hello Kaye, I'm afraid I haven't any definite times and the names are common for the Doran family. I'm looking for a Thomas Doran who died sometime between 1857 and 1872. His wife Mary Doran died between 1882 and 1907. Their son James Doran died 17 February 1879. I think another son William Doran died between 1872 and 1878. I know Doran is a common name so please don't worry searching if the list is too long. There probably wouldn't be many Dunlop names as not many were catholic. I do have a Mary Ann Dunlop (a baby) who died 15 August 1878. Many thanks for your time. A non-sequitor but worth noting: my Dublin born Great Great Grandfather moved to Plympton Place on the Boston and Roxbury line around 1870. It was later renamed Parnell Street and it was also the birthplace of the great John L. Sullivan.
I'm looking into the 1920 September raid on Ballaghaderreen barracks by the Old IRA, A train was ran through the station and shots were fired from the train. Does anyone have any information on the where I could gain information of the names of men involved. Many thanks Jackie.
During 1920, I'm told that 42 Great Brunswick Dublin was the address of the Concert Hall, does anyone happen to know what kind of residence 42C Great Brunswick Street was? Jackie

Hi The BDM aren't online, you would have to try a LDS centre & order the years in. This is just the Civil reg not the full certificates. You would have to find the names & qtrs & vol & Page numbers. My name is Lynne Beattie from Nottingham England and I have been trying to research my Irish roots for a very long time and getting it know where. I feel as if I'm on a Merry Go round not feeling very merry though just dizzy around and around. The only truly information that I have on my father is his birth certificate and my grandparents marriage certificate. My father William at Desmond Beatty born 26th March 1921 at number 63 Murtage road Dublin 4. I also have an e-mail from the parish priest at Aughrim Street saying we have an entry his marriage to a Norah Gleeson in the Church of the Sacred Heart Donnybrook Dublin 4 26th June 1946. I have e-mailed the Sacred Heart Donnybrook but have not received any confirmation as of yet. The information that I have for of my grandparent is a very little I'm afraid I didn't even know it then names until I got their marriage certificate. They were married in the Church of Aughrim Street north Dublin on there 15th June 1917. My grandfather was Eugene Lawrence Beatty it just gives his age as fall profession soldier second lieutenant address 27 Dartmouth road his father Michael Beattie occupation Clarke. My grandmother Margaret Staines aged as fall address 63 Murtagh Road her father Edward Staines occupation Clarke. I am going to send this e-mail to as many people as possible church organisations and hopefully people with the surnames involved in the hope of getting a connection or information no matter how small. I am so desperate to find if there was children born to the marriage between William and Nora could have half brothers or half-sisters out there and not know( This saddens me immensely) May I take this opportunity to thank you so very much for reading my e-mail and please feel free to just a ignore it take care. Kind regards Lynne desperate for a connection.
