HI Barbara, My gg grandfather, William BOWE(b. 1825 IRL), came from Ireland about 1850 to No. Smithfield RI. He and his extended family consisting of Catherine Bowe (b. 1815 IRL), Hannah Bowe (b. 1820 IRL) , and Julia Bowe (b. 1802 IRL)where living in Cumberland/No. Smithfield RI in 1860. They were living in the same house as the John SULLIVAN family, John ANDERSON family, and Mary O'NEIL family, all from Ireland as well as the Stephen OWENS family from Dublin. If anyone needs any additional census data on these families from RI let me know. Charlie King gg grandson of William Bowe born 1825 in IRL If any Barbara wrote: Valerie...... Why off the list when there are others interested in the Sharp research So I am requesting that the data be placed down the Dublin list there is more than one researcher doing this family name Many thanks Cara
Sorry, i just hit reply. I didnt realise it had gone direct to you.
Peter, I haven't seen any record of a Coach Guild, but our ancestors were neighbors. My great-grandmother's little sister, Catherine O'Byrne, was born at 11 Upper Mercer Street in 1867 (gg-grandparents Edward J. O'Byrne and Catherine King). What street number was your Patrick McCoy? ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
Good morning from New Zealand, Is there anyone that can help me, as I am so far away I have to rely on others in a far away country, I am looking for SKS that can check a birth for me I do have details which are William Stanley Longmore born approx: 1865 Dublin he married in London 1887.but after 1901 seems to have disappeared with wife and children Maybe there are census for Dublin or a birth registration. I appreciate your time Thanks Eileen
I am hoping that someone on this list may advise me of anyone who does look-ups in the Mt. Jerome Indexes for others. I am more than willing to pay a fee for their time and efforts. I live on the Canadian border in Vermont in a very rural area and the nearest center where I could order and view the films from LDS is over 100 miles away (one way) . As I am climbing close to 80 years old that is a little too far for me to venture. I am trying to locate any FARLEY's buried there between 1850-1980. I know of four but cannot find the rest of their family which I feel would be there as well since they lived in Dublin all their lives and were protestant. Thank you Michelle Wilson

Dear Valerie Thank you for your message regarding 99, Seville Place, Dublin. Brian Wray informed me that William Forsyth was listed at this address as late as 1879. so in between 1879 and 1884 he must have moved somewhere else. I have found a William Forsyth in the Index for Irish Death in 1888 and not knowing if it is our WF I have ordered the Death Certificate. Desperate measures! On a Wedding Certificate I received recently William Forsyth's Granddaughter, Mary Quigly also gave this address, when she got married in 1877. The hunt goes on. Kind regards Inga. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Valerie Garton" <vbgarton@optusnet.com.au> To: <irl-dublin@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, March 30, 2007 11:48 AM Subject: Re: [IRL-DUBLIN] IRL-DUBLIN Digest, Vol 2, Issue 55 - 99,Seville Place, Dublin Who else was living with her ? Good Morning all On this very dull day here in England. I Noticed some mail item asking about the Dublin Directories, I hope these might be Trade Directories. If so I have a request, which I must admit is a very open ended one. PATRICK McCOY according to some Baptismal entries was in 1867 living in Upper Mercer St Dublin and his profession is given at TRIMMER. In 1870 he was living at Lad Lane, Dublin and was a COACH TRIMMER. In 1871 still living in Lad Lane but now a COACHMAN. Was there any record in the trade directories that might list people connected with the coach trade. I have a note that PATRICK McCOY died at the age of 84 but I have not been able to confirm that information so far {Family tales}. I wonder if they are in the 1901 or 1911 Dublin Census? Any help or advice would be appreciated Regards Peter P. Collins Cheltenham UK
