Hello Valerie...I saw your message asking who requested an index search from you. It could be me as I asked to Find any Farley's that were buried there. Thanks Michelle
Hi Cara, I`m new to Irish research and really feeling my way. Please excuse my ignorance, could you explain what the "Heads of Households" is all about. Did I miss a posting to do with the above.? My great great grandfather was a painter in Dublin in the 1850`s, I don`t suppose he would be recorded. His name was Michael CANAVAN or CANAVON. Dear Valerie I really can't believe my luck. Last time we were in touch (30th March) I told you I had sent for William Forsyth's death certificate. OK That's a pleasure. I get just as much of a kick out of finding some one even when it is not my family. By hiring the film for the Cemetery Register this is likely to give you: No for the year, name, abode, when buried, age, disease, from what parish removed, mode of burial and no of grave, section and sub-division, no of grant and Perpetuity, description of monument etc, signature of Attestation and relationship to the deceased. Hi... While looking over a misc. list of available records for Dublin during the early 19th century, I noticed that there is a list of all who were admitted to Trade Guilds from 1798- 1837. I wondered if anyone on the list has used these or knows how one might access them from a distance? I also wondered if any specific information was given about a person listed? This appears to have been gathered on the Fianna site along with other lists that include voter's registrations, etc. Bev W. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

Does anyone know is there is a plan of the grave sites (or even a list of burial sites) for the Balrothery Graveyard, Balrothery, Co. Dublin (as distinct from Balrothery Union Graveyard)? I am interested in burials in the period 1830 to 1860 for the Chomley family. I am looking for Francis Chomley died on 18th and buried 21 Sep 1847. There is a family "plot" (Dr. Michael J.S. Egan's "Dublin City and County Graveyards" in vol. 6 page 52, stone no. 117 and page 53, stone no. 89) with other members so Francis' grave may be nearby. Regards Peter Chomley Australia
Found i have Kavanaghs in my tree too. My grandfathers sister, Ellen Edgeworth married not 1 but 2 Kavanaghs. They were brothers who ran Kavanaghs pub, also known as the Diggers. Its next to Glasnevin cemetary. We got to meet the current owner recently who gave us the info on the Byrnes of Wicklow. Mark

Peter, Our Catherine was born at 11 Upper Mercer on 7 April 1867. The family emigrated to New York either later that year or in 1868. I'd love to find BMD records in their church (Roman Catholic) in Dublin, but I'm not sure where to begin. Have you found your family in a church there? The online sources I've found haven't yielded anything, but I'm visiting Dublin this summer. Adriana ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
