    3. If you look at the subject line it says 1902-1916. I suggest you obtain a book on How to Research Irish Genealogy and so I suggest " Tracing Your Irish Ancestors " Third edition by John GRENHAM whom you will have heard of. It is the best. The 3xgt grandparents were both born in Dublin Ireland c1800 so I am guessing their fathers would have been born about 1770ish. I am grasping at straws here but with few clues on how to research in Ireland I thought I would take you up on your kind offer to search this cemetery database. Perhaps the database begins long after they would have died? Sorry if I have got things wrong. 2. In a message dated 6/12/2007 3:27:18 AM Eastern Daylight Time, irl-dublin-request@rootsweb.com writes: Which Richard Sharp? Cara unfortunately I don't know anything more about Richard. Known facts are that he had two children that I know of, one Robert Joseph Sharp who married in England in 1885 to Annie Elizabeth Pitts and then emigrated to the US. Richard also had one daughter named Hannah Victoria Sharp who married a William Burke in 1888 and they had one daughter born in Dublin, Sydney Emma Sharp Burke, they also emigrated to the US. I understand that in a directory there is a listing of a Miss Sharp at 1 Lower Gardiner Street, occupation dressmaker, first name unknown, around 1900. One of Robert's children, Samuel, married his first cousin Sydney Emma Sharp Burke (no-one evidently knew that they were first cousins, and I have just managed to find that both Robert and Hannah's father was named Richard and lived at 1 Lower Gardiner Street through copies of their marriage certificates). I am now trying to work back and find out whatever I can on the Sharp family. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

It has been a real surprise to find an Irish connection but many Scots crossed the sea to Ireland so I suspect that further back in the generations we are Scottish.
