    1. [IRL-DUBLIN] 1901 & 1911 censuses
    2. Michael McAllister
    3. Hi List, I remember some time ago, a mail concerning the transcribing/name indexing of the two Irish censuses, and project between the Irish Archives/Records Office and the Canadian Government. Does anyone know of an update of how they are progressing please? Kind regards, Michael McAllister <still looking for a 1-2-year-old granddad Thomas McALLISTER in the censuses for Belfast!>

    3. Many thanks for telling us this Christina and your hard work. This may sound like a silly question but is Ba-Ca? next in your work? I'm asking because my 4xGGrandfather, WILLIAM BURKE was a tailor in Dublin in the early part of the 19th century, so it would be great for me if you have a record of him. 1. [IRL-DUBLIN] book
    2. Mark/Ali
    3. For those of you that have roots in Dublin, i suggest reading a book that has come out recently. I picked it up on Amazon. Its called BARNEY and MOLLY. Its by their son Martin Duffy. Its the story of the Duffy family growing up in Dublin from the start of the 1900s to the end of the century. A fascinating read for one and all with Dublin roots. MARK

I have will books but I am in need of someone to go to I think the National Archives of Ireland to look at the card index for a will dated 1661 & also probably the will index to see just what little is written on it. 2. Hi Cara, Once a will is found in the index, how does one find a copy? Also are there Administration records for those who died without a formal will? If a will cannot be found in Dublin, is it possible that it might have been probated elsewhere even if the family resided in Dublin? Apparently Maria Emma Rawlins Sheehan left her husband a sizable sum of money when she died in 1874. I believe it was from her father James Rawlins' estate. We have not found a will for him, however. Emma married J. Huston Sheehan of Tipperary. Thanks so much! Bev W ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

    1. [IRL-DUBLIN] Fwd: [IRL-GALWAY] Map of Ireland
    2. Hi Listers; Some one asked about a good map of Ireland. I was sent a wonderful map of Ireland from family members. It is called "Road Map Ireland" it is from the _www.theAA.com/bookshop_ (http://www.theAA.com/bookshop) . It is at a scale of 1 : 300,000, 1 cm = 3 km, 1 inch = 4.7 miles. It has the ISBN # 0-7495-4816-9, bar code 9 780749 548162 >. This map is quiet large not one for driving and map reading at the same time, BUT it is worth the cost in EURO's which I don't. I found a lot of small towns. John J. Tonry ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
