    2. Robt & Wendy Stevenson
    3. Just heard this from Sean Rooney; The National Archives of Ireland has arranged for the digitisation, indexing and contextualisation of its most popular records, the census records for 1901 and 1911. The resulting website will contain images of the forms for each household and institution, which will be indexed by name (all names), townland/street, age and sex. There will also be illustrated information on what life was like in Ireland in the early days of the last century. The site will be free to access, with no charge to use the indexes or view the images. The first phase of the project, Dublin City and County 1911, is to be launched in Autumn 2007 http://www.nationalarchives.ie/contactus/census.html

    3. Hi Cara, I may be clutching at straws here. All I know about Luke MORRISON is that he was listed as a mariner on his son's marriage certificate in 1845. His son was born in Dublin Ireland around 1800 so I am guessing that Luke lived in Dublin then and was a mariner in the years ?1800-1845? I found references to this CD on a website: www.geocities.com/sharon_sergeant/Irishmariners.htm Best wishes Lynley ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cara_Links" <cracker@hotkey.net.au> To: <irl-dublin@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, July 04, 2007 8:52 PM Subject: Re: [IRL-DUBLIN] Ships and Seafarers of Atlantic Canada CD > But what is on this CD that would cover the 1800's > I recall that no crew listings were available for Irish folk in the 1800's > in 2003 > So I would most interested in knowing what is on this CD? > > CARA > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Lynley Chapman" <qdeckchapman@clear.net.nz> > To: <irl-dublin@rootsweb.com>; <NEW-ZEALAND@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Wednesday, July 04, 2007 7:45 AM > Subject: [IRL-DUBLIN] Ships and Seafarers of Atlantic Canada CD > > >> Hello, >> >> Does SKS have a copy of this CD please? >> >> I am searching for Luke MORRISON, Dublin, Mariner around 1800. >> >> I would be very grateful for any help. >> >> Thanks >> Lynley Chapman >> New Zealand >> >> ------------------------------- >> To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to >> IRL-DUBLIN-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the >> quotes in the subject and the body of the message >> > > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > IRL-DUBLIN-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the > quotes in the subject and the body of the message >

    2. J J Anjier
    3. Hi: My name is Jennifer Anjier & I have just joined the list. I am looking for information about FRANCIS STRINGER, who died in Dublin abt. 1815. His children were FRANCIS, THOMAS & ELIZABETH. According to family records, Elizabeth married Dr. Charles Duffy Feb. 6, 1806 at her Aunt Lucy Bell's house in Dublin. Elizabeth & Charles had 13 children in Kingston before she died abt. 1835 then he & the children went to live in North Carolina. The religion of the family was probably Church of Ireland. I believe that THOMAS STRINGER, a merchant in Armagh was the father of Francis. Also, that THOMAS, the son of Francis is listed in the King's Inns Admission Papers & was an attorney in Dublin.:- STRINGER, THOMAS, 2ND. S. OF Francis, Newbern, Province of Carolina, decd., and Anne McWain; over 16; ed. Newry; aft. Frances, Lieut. Armagh Militia, brother, T 1815 I would like to find any obituaries, will or any other information about this family. Best regards from hot & humid Baton Rouge, Jennifer Anjier
