    3. No, but there was (is?) one on Broad Street. Broad Street runs between Grattan Street (previously Duncan Street) and North Main Street. Shown clearly on the hand-sketched Cork map in Guy's 1886 Directory but impossible to find in that modern marvel of the cartographer's art, the 1984 OS map. Broad Lane is also listed in Guy's around the same area but isn't shown on the map. On the Guy's the church is clearly named. On the OS a lonely black + marks the spot; nothing in the list of churches in the 'handy guide' appended. It looks from the Guy's that the church was in a block bounded by Broad Street to the 'north' and Liberty Street to the 'south' and that the frontage may have been on Liberty Street. The map is online at Margaret Grogan Turner's site at: http://www.sci.net.au/userpages/mgrogan/cork/cork_map4.htm If you centre the map on your screen St. F's is about dead in the middle. I think there is also a more recent Broad Lane out in the 'sticks' (Canadian expression for the country), well, Blackpool anyway :-) - so the other one could be gone by now. Roll on GPS with ID chips in every building.
