Hi fellow searchers. I have found several clues that lead me to believe that my GGG Grandparents Robert Henry ROE born 1816 and Eliza Jane (nee TENNANT) married and had their family in the city of Cork. Children are: Thomas Alexander born 1838 Robert Henry born 1840 Richard George born 1845 Sarah Anne born 1847 William James Lyon born 1848 Arthur Legge born 1854 Thomasine Jane Gifford born 1859 Robert moved his family to Devon England some time after Thomasine was born and their last son who was born in England: ca 1859-1863. He was working at the RN Hospital Stonehouse Devon for the Admiralty. It is possible he had been working for the Admiralty at the RN installation at Cobh before he left Ireland. I have found information about Robert's parents in Newtownmountkennedy and a record of his sister's marriage which took place at the Church of Ireland and England in Newcastle Co. Wicklow. Can anyone tell me the name of the Church of Ireland/England in City of Cork ca 1837-38 give or take a year? All help most appreciated. Best regards Jane, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
