I am new to the list and have been searching my ROE family tree for some time, however have just found today that they may have been born in Cork City and would appreciate any hints as to how I can search further to find a record of their births.....as follows: Parents Robert Henry ROE born 1816 was a career Admiralty Civil Servant and I believe he was born in Co. Wicklow (possibly the Newtownmountkennedy area) he married Eliza Jane TENNANT who was born 1821. If she was a city of Cork girl it is possible this marriage took place there. Their first child was born 1838 so I would say the marriage took place ca 1836-38 at a guess. Children: Dr. Thomas Alexander ROE born 1838 became a surgeon, served R.N. and as a consular physician in Peru where he met and married Emmiline Russell DARTNELL born 1846, whose family were from Mallow Parish, Co.
