    3. THE DUNDONIAN Vol. 1. No. 1. 2002 Welcome to the first, and perhaps the only, edition of 'The Dundonian'. I have been encouraged by my Canadian Dundon friend, Emma, to put fingers to keys! I have collected quite a lot of Dundon material which I would like to share. I hope that you will be willing to share with me. Please write to me. John Dundon. MY OWN FOREBEARS The furthest back I can go is to Patrick Dundon (1830-1866) who married Julia Doyle (1831-1878). They had two sons, Edward (1863-1907) and Patrick (1867-1935). Edward, my grandfather married Kate Fardy (1869-1946) and they had four sons, Patrick (93-11), Edward (96-18), William (99-09) and my father John (1901-1967). The first Patrick was a smith and lived in Irishtown, Dublin. His son, Edward, was a member of the RIC in Wexford. My father said that his people had come from Limerick. But he died before I became interested in Dundon genealogy. SOME BAPTISMS Patrickswell, Luriga, Ballybrown. 20 Jan. 1802. Brigid to Patrick Dundon and Honora Fitzgerald. 30 Jan. 1802.
