Can anyone tell me if Census Enumeration District numbers remain the same from census to census? The LDS catalogue gives details of streets associated with E.D. numbers and film numbers for the 1911 Census for Cork City but not for the 1901 census. Is it safe to assume that the same E.D. numbers for the 1901 census will produce returns for the same streets as those in the 1911? The point is I want to avoid ploughing through the whole of the 1901 films to get at the half dozen streets I'm currently interested in. Hi Bill, If you don't get the info on the list Let me know for which Cork City streets you need the 1901 D.E.Ds. Our local library will have lists of these.
