I have been trying to trace my ROE line and have recently found six Christenings that took place in the Church of Ireland Diocese of Cobh. Unfortunately the first two born to this family are missing so I am on the hunt for Thomas Alexander ROE born 1838 and his brother Robert Henry ROE born 1840. Their parents were Robert Henry ROE born 1816 Ireland and Elizabeth Jane (nee TENNANT) born 1821, Ireland. I do not know where either of the parents were born or where they married but have a clue from a ROE family member. Evidently there were some ROE family members who lived at one time at a place or estate that was called Bagintagart, not sure if this is the correct spelling (Hall?) and another Hall or estate, name unknown that was burnt to the ground, both places in Co. Cork. I have come up empty handed re any searches done for Bagintagart. If any one on list has any ideas or knows where this place was/is I would be eager to hear from you!
