Hello list, I am a recent subscriber to this list and would like to let you all know of my interest in Cork. I am searching for any information on my family "CAREY" I have traced my Carey line from Australia, back to Staffordshire where I thought they must have come from, but then I found in both John nad Thomas Carey's wills that they had Earthenware and Glass works in Cork. Further investigation revealed that their father John Carey died in Cork. Did the Carey family come from Cork? I understand that the family business was located in Carey's lane Cork city. Any information on the Carey family would be greatly appreciated.
