It a genealogy link guide for all 50 U.S. states, that includes links to vital records, State Archives, State Libraries, census, online archives, etc. The url is: http://www.ambiancestudio.com/genealogystatesearch.html It probably won't be indexed in search engines for a couple of months so you can just "pass it on" to anyone who may be interested. (I've checked over 600 links on it and hopefully they are all ok...) Hope this helps with any U.S searching you may do. Cat

    1. Burkett Family from Co. Cork
    2. Rosalind Beatty
    3. My Great Great Grandfather, Alexander Burkett, came to Tasmania, Aust prior to 1860. His parents were George Burkett (Master Mariner) and Ann Dryan. I believe the town they came from was Monk(s)ton. In later years he sponsored his mother and siblings to Melbourne, Vic. Apparently his father had either died or stayed behind in Cork. Alexander's occupation at time of his marriage in 1860 was ship steward. Could anybody help with information about (a) Archival records etc. for Monk(s)ton and (b) shipping records both passengers and crew. Thanks, Rosalind Beatty

    3. Maureen, Mitchell lists two churches in Dunbuloge. In the townland of Carrignavar is the Church of Ireland and in the townland of Laharan is the Roman Catholic Church. There are also graveyards in Doonpeter and Dunbulloge. Mitchell, Brian, A Guide to Ireland Graveyards and Cemeteries, Baltimore, MD: Genealogical Publishing Co., 1990. The Catholic parishes of Glanmire and Watergrasshill are in the civil parish of Dunbulloge. Their records are available on film from the National Library of Ireland. Their catalog is online at http://www.nli.ie/pdfs/parish%20registers%20list.pdf Cheers, Colin Ferguson

    2. Maureen Whelan
    3. I have just been given some information about my Irish ancestors and hope someone can help me. I believe my ggggrandfather was Bartholomew McKeo(u)gh - I always thought the spelling was McHugh, but I know there are many variants in the spelling of Irish surnames. I believe he may have come from the townland of Ballybrack which is in the Civil Parish of Dunbullogue, in the Glanmire region of Cork. Can anyone tell me please if there is a Church in that area? Where might any baptismal, marriage records be kept? Would they be in one of the churches in Cork city? I am not absolutely sure what religion he was. The time frame I am looking at is early 1800's. Hope someone can help me. Thankyou. 3. Hello Jennifer, There is a history group at You-All, it is down near Cromwell's Gate. If you don't get any other answers I think a letter to the History Group, Youghal, Ireland will get them, it is only a small place and the postman knows everyone. He even feeds all the stray dogs in the town.
